Twente aims for second

By: Tucker | January 31st, 2009

Heerenveen’s victory over Ajax has the “Tukkers” on the verge of second place as Utrecht visits Enschede.

The departure of Utrecht’s manager Wim van Hanegem and technical director Piet Buter just before Christmas has left Ton du Chatinier in-charge of the club. While they have yet to register a victory in the first two matches since the re-start they are a solid unit that could challenge for a Europa League spot. For the match, Morten Skoubo and Frank van der Zwam are out with Sander Keller questionable but they will have Simon Cziommer and Mihai Nesu back from suspension.

Steve McClaren has a completely fit squad and looking to extend the nine match unbeaten streak in the Eredivisie
